Basic Package

The number of driving lessons a student needs before taking the exam varies from person to person, but averages around 40 to 45 hours. The basic package includes 40 hours of driving lessons and is more affordable than individual lessons. In addition to a lower hourly rate, the basic package also includes a 40% discount on your (first) resit exam, should you unexpectedly fail the first time..

Even with the basic package, you are not stuck with anything. So if you wanted to quit for any reason, you will be refunded the lessons you haven't driven yet. And that, of course, also applies if you pass with less than 40 hours of driving lessons. It is also possible that at the end of the basic package a few extra lessons are needed before you can take your exam. For this you pay per hour the price of a single lesson

Instead of the basic package, it's also possible to take single driving lessons. Driving lessons last 90 minutes as standard.

* An interim test is a kind of mock exam that allows you to familiarise yourself with the CBR. It's basically a sneak peek behind the scenes. After the test, the examiner will tell you how far you have progressed and what you still need to work on. This is very useful in the run-up to your actual exam, and as a nice bonus, you can get an exemption for your special manoeuvres (parking, reversing). You will then no longer have to do these during your (first) exam.
